Hi, Nice to meet you here

Why Opposites Attract — In Love, Life, and the Winter Color Combinations I Can’t Stop Wearing

Proof That Opposites Attract: Turning Relationship Science into Winter Wardrobe Color Magic Hi, it’s me, back at my cozy corner. Yes, I’ve been MIA. Not because life was busy (we make time for what matters), but because nothing felt good enough to pull my attention. Then a quiet thought floated past: how and why do  opposites attract -in love, in life, in style? Real talk from a working mom I’m writing this between snack negotiations with a fearless toddler and a seven-year-old who has questions about everything. When I say “opposites,” I don’t just mean introvert meets extrovert, I mean: Soft meets structured,  Warm meets cool, Routine meets spontaneity. It’s the way a morning latte calms a racing mind, the way denim anchors a whimsical color, the way two different energies can make a home feel complete. What the science actually says We’ve all heard “opposites attract” forever, right? But once I started digging (usually late at night, after the kids were finally a...

Why I Started Blogging as a Full-Time Working Mom (And Why You’ll Relate)

My Story: How I Started This Blog

Dear Reader! A Warm HELLO – It’s me (Now sing this in Adele voice :p)

I’m Zainy, a full-time working mom who found a lifeline in writing a way to breathe, reflect, and make sense of the whirlwind that is motherhood and career life combined.

Balancing the roles of mom, employee, and woman can feel overwhelming. Some days, it feels like there’s never enough time or energy. But through it all, writing has been my refuge in my quiet place to process feelings, share honest stories, and connect with others who truly understand.

Why This Blog Means So Much to Me

Starting this blog wasn’t just about putting words on a page. It was about creating a space where I could be authentic and vulnerable where other working moms could feel seen and heard.

I know firsthand how isolating the juggle can feel, and I want this to be a place of comfort and inspiration a digital hug, if you will.

The Guilt That Comes With Being a Working Mom

One of the hardest parts of being a working mom is the guilt that seems to follow every step. People often say things like, “How can you leave your children behind to work?” or “A mother’s place is always with her kids.” And the last one “I will never leave my children with a full time Nanny”. To be these are BRUTAL words - how can you say things on the face to a WORKING MOM?

But here’s the truth and my thought process behind all of this: being a mom doesn’t mean your own life is over. Self-love isn’t selfish, it’s necessary (I REPEAT). When I work, I’m not just providing for my family; I’m honoring my own passions and dreams. I am not forced into this it’s a CHOICE I made for self caz I wanted to. So don’t see my Blog as my Chaos scream but my creative corner on the internet.

As the powerful quote goes,
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection.” | Buddha

Choosing to love myself and pursue what I cherish makes me a better mom, a happier person, and a stronger role model for my children.

Sharing My Passion for Writing and Connection

Writing has been my companion through every stage of life; I just never took it seriously. I better express myself when I write. From secret diaries to heartfelt essays, it’s how I make sense of the world. Now, through this blog, I get to share my journey openly, the triumphs, the challenges, the small moments that fill my days with meaning and OFFCURZZ my budget finds caz that what I think I am pretty good at. So, I thought why not make it all in a hustle and mark my creative outlet in something I can turn in to buy me more Lattes 😊.

If you ever feel alone in your struggles or need a reminder that you’re doing better than you think, I hope my words can be a source of light.

Where You Can Find Me Beyond This Blog

I also share deeper reflections and weekly thoughts on my Substack, a cozy corner where my community gathers to dive into real talk about mom life, balance, and everything in between. You can find me there at substack.com/@zainyslattethoughts.

What I Hope You Take Away from This Space

This blog is for you | the working mom who feels stretched thin but keeps going with fierce love. For the mom who dreams, who struggles, who laughs and cries and hopes for better days | To the moms who left careers to be stay at home and nurture your kid | To the future Moms and just anybody.

Let’s walk this journey together, share our stories, and remind each other that none of us are alone and no one should let us feel GUILTY of our choices. If you work YOU WORK and its your decision (though the guilt will never leave you, trust me on this) but if you stay at home, it is your choice too and you shouldn’t be complaining about this or feeling petty for your own self. Both are BOLD Choices. So, a BRAVO on this.

Thank you for stopping by, for reading, and for being part of this little corner of the internet. Your presence here means more than words can say.

With all my heart,
Zainys Latte Thoughts | Your Fellow Juggling Mom
