Hi, Nice to meet you here

Why Opposites Attract — In Love, Life, and the Winter Color Combinations I Can’t Stop Wearing

Proof That Opposites Attract: Turning Relationship Science into Winter Wardrobe Color Magic Hi, it’s me, back at my cozy corner. Yes, I’ve been MIA. Not because life was busy (we make time for what matters), but because nothing felt good enough to pull my attention. Then a quiet thought floated past: how and why do  opposites attract -in love, in life, in style? Real talk from a working mom I’m writing this between snack negotiations with a fearless toddler and a seven-year-old who has questions about everything. When I say “opposites,” I don’t just mean introvert meets extrovert, I mean: Soft meets structured,  Warm meets cool, Routine meets spontaneity. It’s the way a morning latte calms a racing mind, the way denim anchors a whimsical color, the way two different energies can make a home feel complete. What the science actually says We’ve all heard “opposites attract” forever, right? But once I started digging (usually late at night, after the kids were finally a...

Top 2025 Long-Lasting Perfumes That Every Working Mom Needs in Her Bag

A quote on Music and Perfume

Music and perfume are the best ways to remember things.

I cannot Agree Enough to this. Every time i hear one of my fav songs i am instantly back in time reminiscing those moment and same for perfumes. The particular smell of some scents are enough to let you time-travel FOR FREE.

Well so a Hi, Hello and HOLA! It’s your Latte‑sipping, laundry‑folding, kid‑chasing working mom here. If there’s one thing that irks me more when people don't acknowledge, it’s someone passing by who… well, doesn’t smell fresh. Hygiene matters. First impressions matter. And for busy moms, the fragrance we choose can be a little boost of confidence.

I often am complimented for my choice of perfumes and that was my whole inspiration behind this blog not exactly the compliments but HOW & Why people miss out on this. So a story time, I have this invention dream cloud in my head I have since forever (which I know I will never invent but no harm in dreaming😊) so the dream invention is to design a perfume shower, YUP! “A PURFUME SHOWER” where I pass through and I am fogged in this whole smelling good machine and that’s that. No Perfume or oil watermarks with that PHIZZ PHIZZZ from the bottle and I get to smell DIVINE the whole day. Also how do you smell good whole day? It’s naturally not possible to smell Divine the whole day but I do know some Pro Max people have that capability lol so if you have that let me know in comments.

Without any further ado let’s Talk PHIZZ PHIZZ OR PERFUMES. My current perfume picks, and the best deodorants that actually last through school runs, meetings, errands, and kid chaos. Plus, some standout Arabic perfumes that people in the GCC adore. As always, I’ve slipped in my affiliate links (just so you know), including from OnebioShop so if you get to tempt those links and get one, PLEASE DO. It will be at no extra cost to you

My Forever Loves

These are the ones I keep coming back to:

Lancôme La Vie Est Belle

Lancome Perfumes Bottel

Sweet but balanced, elegant and not overpowering in small spaces.
Notes
are Strong vanilla‑patchouli base, good sillage.

Givenchy L'INTERDIT
Givenchy Linderdit Perfume Bottle
same deal: a fragrance that holds up through your day, smells good on others, and feels like “Elegantly You” without being loud. Notes Pear and Bergamot; middle notes are Tuberose, Orange Blossom and Jasmine Sambac; base notes are Patchouli, Vanilla, Ambroxan and Vetiver.

Everlasting by Asgharali
Asgharali Perfumes

a local gem. Asgharali is a Bahraini heritage brand (100 years and counting), and Everlasting gives that mix of oriental warmth + staying power. bahrainthismonth.com+1Notes - pear, peach, lily of the valley, jasmine and rose. The base notes of sandalwood, cedarwood, patchouli, musk and amber add a warm and comforting touch

Sadly this has been discontinued. Someone speak to Asgharali to bring this gem back caz this aint a Scent, its a Bottle of the era. Bottle of the time. Everything locked up in a bottle. IYKYK. Dont judge this bottle by the price tag but just look at that name.

I get asked “What Makes my Perfume Last (Mom Hack)”

Here’s what I’ve learned, trialled and tested, to make sure when I spritz in the morning, it still stays till the eve:

  1. Apply to moisturized skin (lotion or unscented body oil first). Never not a day I donot have this Lancome Body lotion in my bag.
  2. Target pulse points (wrists, inside elbows, neck).
  3. Don’t rub your wrists together, that breaks down the scent molecules.
  4. Layer lightly: maybe a matching scented body wash + the perfume.
  5. Choose perfumes with stronger base notes (oud, vanilla, amber, patchouli) if you want them to last.

Perfumes will never last if your Deodorants does not last!

Because perfume won’t fix a weak deodorant, and we all know it. Here are some working mom‑tested ones:

My OnebioShop Picks

I browsed OnebioShop for perfumes that last and here are my favourites

My Top Picks Right Now (Perfumes) & What shall also come in your front row for this coming season;

Why Smelling Good Isn’t Vanity, It’s Respect

I’m a mom, I work, I run a house, I juggle schedules but smelling good is simple self‑care. It’s polite: to others, to yourself. It says, “I took two extra seconds this morning to care.” And yes, when I hug my kids, I want them to inhale something comforting, not worry about IYKYK.

Whenever perfumes or hygiene are ignored, I notice. The smell fades. The impression fades. Let’s not let that be “normal.” I am sure no one likes walking past a human smelling sweat and stink.

I recently came across these blogs and their recommendations are also spot on and very detailed. I highly recommend giving these a read.
